Rio Verde Dual Language Academy

Welcome to Rio Verde

Our academy gives students a rare opportunity: full literacy in English and Spanish by the time they finish 8th grade. Students follow the full state curriculum in every subject while learning the history and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

No Spanish at home? No problem. Students can enter in TK, kindergarten, or 1st grade with no prior knowledge of the language. All language instruction happens at school.

Note: students entering 2nd grade and above complete a short language assessment to confirm grade-level reading and writing in both languages before final enrollment.

Dual immersion, TK–5

Students split their day between English and Spanish instruction, building fluency in both languages alongside math, science, and reading.

Learn about TK–5

Middle school, 6–8

Students continue advanced coursework in both languages and prepare to earn the State Seal of Biliteracy in high school.
